Teach For Green is a nationwide Do It Yourself (DIY) green energy workshop movement that aims to create awareness and entrepreneurship.
About Teach For Green
We are a non-for-profit organization trying to address the importance of ‘Green Energy’ for a sustainable environment. To achieve this, we organise various DIY (Do It Yourself) workshops in order to develop a sense of entrepreneurship in younger generation and encourage the inclination of our future leaders towards green energy.
Presently, there are four projects –
In this 2 days experiential workshop, kids are introduced to the various applications of green energy. Workshop also involves kids designing their own customized designs like solar table lamps, torch, gift lamps, toys made by using recycled materials like cartoons, bottles, shopping bags etc.
At the end of workshop, every kid has their own design which can be used for the next two years.
This program is conducted in government schools. We take one day three to four classes in week on-hands activities and learning on green energy, environment and waste management topics.
In this program, we give trainings on developing solar, LEDs as on circuit, installation, testing, repair, maintenance and also market things. This is done with the aim to help them start their enterprise in local level on adding local & art craft for utility, gift lamps, mobile charger & lighting systems.
These are centres which mainly aims at giving chances to rural & slum kids which don’t get infrastructure & resources in their school. They can come before or after their school time and learn anything they want computer, english, life skill, music or games.
Why this campaign?
To ensure the smooth functioning of these projects, we constantly require funds and that’s what this campaign aims at. We need your help in making India’s younger generation more environment conscious. Donate to the campaign. 🙂
